Second Project: FLUSH
Washrooms are often the neglected area of the design of a public/retail space and is probably the second most crucial part of the space, after the first impression of the interior.
It is one that can be clearly identified within a culture... from the technological advanced of the Japanese to the style consciousness of Italy. Within public facilities 'personal space' becomes even more heightened in this close proximity, as physical and psychological barriers become tested. For example, a ladies washroom is a very different environment to a males.
Brief: select an existing Bar, Club , Restaurant or Hotel situation for which to design the washroom spaces for, that you have vistied before. Limited to 60 square metres for male, female and disabled users as well as a lobby space...max of 400 (50-50 Gender split)
